250th Anniversary Year

Here we are at the 250th Anniversary Year of our country’s creation.  How are you feeling about your Anniversary Year of Your Creation in your professional life?  Are you proud of where you are in your professional life? What about your personal life? Perhaps you are taking this month to do a little soul searching or a personal assessment of who you are and where you are in these two areas of your life.

In my business, and at this stage of my life, I now feel free to STOP and take time off when I need it.  I found that when I disconnect from my keyboard and get away from my office, a whole new world opens up for me.  Keeping my hands, my eyes, and my mind fixated on something I am struggling with only plunges me deeper into a pit of despair at times.  How about you?

There are times when my brain feels like a pile of scrabble tiles trying to organize themselves into a cohesive thought.

I am looking for a vision, and it is not lining up with my desire.  This develops into a “burden.”  If I do not extricate myself, I soon find my burden has developed into a false belief.

A famous author asked these three questions when your mind get tangled up in knots:

  • What do you cry about?
  • What do you dream about?
  • What do you sing about?

Few individuals I know even know to ask themselves these three simple questions.  What is the point of asking these questions in the first place?  It is my experience that these three questions tend to put life and work into perspective and act as an accelerator to create an action plan to do something about your answers to them.

Your burden is your starting point.  Your belief about what to do about it, acts as your catalyst.

What is your burden today?

Are you able to turn your burden into a belief and then into an actionable plan?

Or are you like this guy at his wits end and lost and don’t know what in the world to do, much less know where to begin?

It is now time, right now, I mean today, to roll up your sleeves and get out of the pool floatie and get busy thinking!

When you see enough your are inspired to do something!  So what is that for you?  Fill in the blank in this sentence:

The greatest _________________________I have yet to do and give birth to is______________________________!

  • If you do not have answers here, then your burden is not yet present.
  • If you do not have answers here, then your belief has not been formed yet.
  • If you do not have answers here, then you do not have possibility thinking.

If you DO HAVE the answers to the sentence above, then ~ HOORAY!!!

You know you have a breakthrough in your VISION when you now ask yourself, “HOW” am I going to achieve this vision?

This requires a different mindset.  What does that mean?  Look at these two sentences to see the difference:

  • “Can I?”
  • “How Can I?”

Which one sets your mind to “There is a possibility that I can fail?”

Which one sets your mind to thinking, “I can do this I now need to figure out the steps to HOW to accomplish this?”

Once you get to this point in your thinking, something else begins to form.  Your answers, aka your discovery, develop into a deep desire to accomplish the answers to those three questions posed before.

“When you learn enough, you want to take action, in order to turn your desire into an actionable forward motion.”

What we “know” is far less than what we “do not know.”

What discovery do you now want/need to turn into an action? Resources today are all around us and indeed at our fingertips with the instant knowledge available.

“When you receive enough, you are able to.”

What path to success are you on?

Who is helping you wade through all that is piled up in your head?

Sometimes, it takes a person with an outside perspective who is not inside that pile of scrabble tiles to sort things out with you, in other words a partner.

A female entrepreneur I know wrote this about what we have talked about here today:

“I am so messed up! I have taken the promise of tomorrow and made it a mockery of my own making! What am I going to do now to turn this mess into a productive life?”

If this is where you find yourself today, your partner is below.  Feel free to write me an email with your “mess” and let’s create a productive life for you.

Where do you find yourself today?
