Who is in your inner circle? Each of us at this moment has an inner circle. This inner circle is in the workplace and in our personal life. What is an “Inner Circle” you may ask? In his book “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership”, author John Maxwell defines it as; “…those who are closest to the leader…” It is a well know fact that athletes, leaders, thought leaders, religious leaders, heads of state and so on all have a select group which surrounds them. No leader can do it all alone.
Whether a leader rises or falls is tied directly to his or her inner circle. So who is in your sphere of influence? How did they get there? What are they bringing to your life? We tend to compartmentalize our lives and each of those compartments has an “inner circle”.
Here are a couple of questions to ponder:
Who is in your “Inner Circle” at work?
Are these people lifting you up or dragging you down?
Who is in your “Inner Circle” at home?
Are these people lifting you up and supporting your goals?
Are these folks cynics and destroyers of your dreams?
