Where Are You This Labor Day?

Another summer is almost gone.  Labor Day weekend is upon us again.  As women with children who are in school and even in college we turn our thoughts to that long check list of items which are needed for the next school year.  Then comes the reality of the check book and the funds needed just to put that child into the classroom.

How about you Mom, where are you this year in your own next level of growth?  Do you have any of these still on your list:

*I feel empty after I complete a task (exactly how empty are you on a scale of 1 to 10).

*I feel unfulfilled at the end of my work day (exactly how unfulfilled are you on a scale of 1 to 10)

*I feel as though I have no choice at all in some of the areas of my life (exactly where in your life do you have no choices?)

(1 is I have zero.  10 is life is great, I am fulfilled)

If you are defined by any of the items listed above, you are normal.  Here are some questions to ponder in direct response to how you feel.

On Item 1 above:  What is it that you need in order to feel fulfilled at the end of the task?

From whom does that need to come from?

How will you know when you are a 10 (being totally full and complete and satisfied) once the task is complete?

On item 2 above, What is it that you need in order to have the feeling of fulfillment at the end of your work day?

From whom does that need to come from?

How will you know when you are at a level 10 (being totally full and satisfied) at the end of the work day?

On item 3 above, where is it exactly in what area of your life that you have no choices?

What would a choice sound like?  Talk out loud here and tell me what does a choice sound like.

What will having a choice bring you?
