Reflecting on 2011

I’d like to take these last two weeks of 2011 and ask you to reflect on the areas of your life and see what has happened to each area.   On each of these end of the year posts you will ask yourself a couple of questions and think about what you may want to do more of, stop completely or try another approach.  Are you game?

Today let’s explore your professional area of your life.   On January 1st, 2011 how would you rank yourself in your professional life on a scale of 1 being no where and 10 being at the top of your game.   You are not measuring yourself against anyone, it’s just you and where you see yourself.

We are in a no judgment zone here, we are only exploring the year.

So, where are you now in December of 2011 on that same scale?

When you look at your calendar for the year what do you want to do more of?

What do you want to stop doing?

Where are the gaps in your skills and/or learning?

How would looking at things from a different perspective change your thinking?

Who did you mentor this year?

These are just idea starters for review of your professional life.

What would you like to do in 2012?

Who would you like to mentor?

Where will you learn those new skills?

When will you stop doing the things that do not add value to your professional life?
