What does that statement mean to you today? I am a woman of faith and to me it is the celebration of the birth of the my savior Jesus Christ, for whom I am eternally grateful. To you it might mean something very different. It might be a day that you look upon with regret. There may be memories of days gone by you just as soon forget. Events and words which have left you scared for life. Perhaps you remember fondly your childhood the sounds and smells of love and family; now long, long ago, which you have tried to recreate, only to have failed with your current family. Maybe you have a family which has been torn apart and is scattered and you long for something that you once had that will never be again. These are all regrets, these broken hearts, laying all around this nation, along with the mounting bills soon to arrive in the mail, and many will turn to the only solace they know; the addiction of their choice, which unfortunately will only continue the pain of downward spiral.
We have become comfortable in our own “World of Acceptance”. It’s the way we see things, accept things, live in our own little space. We think and view everything thing through our own special glasses. Each of us thinks our view is correct. It is a “Personal Bias” and we all have it. None of us is immune to this. It has washed over us as a nation and polarized each and every one of us like a frog slowly brought to a boil in a wonderful pond of what was once a crystal clear cool pool of water. We never noticed.
Today you can change all of that. You can choose to change the glasses you are wearing, and give yourself a brand new pair of glasses! Give yourself a gift that keeps on giving for the rest of your life and beyond.
On this day of Joyous Celebration we can celebrate this wonderful gift of choice that each of us can unwrap which gives us the gift of eternal life. Unwrap a gift that gives the gift of forgiveness for all those decisions that brought pain. Unwrap this precious gift that is given with tender hands which were pierced through so you could receive this gift of grace by just accepting it. These gifts are all wrapped up waiting for you under this very special tree which isn’t green, but it is everlasting and it will never die. These gifts are not under a tree which is adorned with bright shining lights but rather crowned with crown made of thorns which mocked the savior who paid for those gifts. These gifts are waiting for you under a tree which is not a Noble Fir, a Frazier Fir, a Douglas Fir, a Flocked Tree, but a tree which was a cross where a body hung until death and the sins of every person to every live was borne by one. In that moment, everything changed.
Too simple you say, nope, all you have to do is accept the gift. Reach out and accept it. Interested?
Here’s what you do: simply pray this prayer: Lord Jesus, I ask You to forgive my sins and save me from eternal separation from God. By faith, I accept Your work and death on the cross as sufficient payment for my sins. Thank You for providing the way for me to know You and to have a relationship with my heavenly Father. Through faith in You, I have eternal life. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and loving me unconditionally. Please give me the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
You are now set free. You have the greatest gift you will ever be given in your entire life! I encourage you to tell someone, please tell me too! I have something I’d like to email to you as a support and to start you on your way to building your relationship with God!
Christmas will never be the same for you ever again! Hallelujah!
