I was recently listening to a personal growth call about: waiting for the perfect moment to start something, and how we think we have to have all the answers or more information, or the right time, or be in the right mood etc and how this waiting actually drives momentum away from our being.
As I listened, it dawned on me that with most of my own projects, this is my default position. I tell myself, “…..now, I just need to know……and then I will start….” Then the inevitable happens I continue to wait, ponder, rewrite, and learn more and then I see someone with less knowledge that I have accumulated steps forward with something which is not as good as my own first draft 6 months ago. To what end?
I say all of this to tell you; knowledge is great!
Having a plan is great!
Practicing and writing are noble in order to gain confidence.
Preparation and the visual image are all important in order to get off the ground.
Waiting is NOT!
Orville and Wilbur Wright did not have a pilot’s license when they flew their first plane!
Can you imagine what would have happened, if they had waited?
