For the past couple of weeks we have been looking at our lives in the eyes of a “tree”. We have compared the tree’s root system to that of our own foundation. We have compared the tree’s environment to our own, and the branches that bear fruit to our own lives and how pruning produces fruit.
We are now going to talk about the factor that education, mentors, role modeling and so on can also equip you to produce even greater fruit in greater quantities.
Every tree needs a “pollinator”. A “Pollinator” is another tree which is needed to produce the fruit. Just like a bee gets pollen stuck to its back legs when it lands on a flower to suck out the nectar and then buzzes on over to another flower ready to receive that pollen in order to pollinate it to produce more flowers. It is a “perfect system” that works beautifully. The same is true for you.
Who in your life models what you want to be? Who is the person who guides you with a path to your goal? Who do you follow and look up to in order to move forward? Where do you go to learn more about where you want to be next year? What educational opportunities do you take advantage of in order to produce more fruit in your own job?
Do you follow a “Thought Leader”?
Do you take continuing ed courses regularly to be at the top of your game?
All of these ideas produce more fruit. Remember we need to bear fruit in our professional lives and in our private lives.
